First Semester in College Essay
First Semester in College EssayThe most common essay for first semester in college is the personal essay. It is easy to write and the topics are always good for personal development. The second essay is generally a test or subject of the first essay. The third essay is the test essay. The fourth essay is a question or comment for the previous three essays. The topic of your essay should be interesting enough to interest you in learning more about the topic. It can be anything. One topic that works is geography. Geography is the study of the earth and how it relates to one's location and environment. The way to make your essay interesting is to have a vivid picture of the subject. Picture what your subject looks like, what sounds like, and what the landscape feels like. For example, if you were writing an essay on gardening you would write about a beautiful flower garden that you pass on the way to class every day. Then you would picture a butterfly landing on the flowers. You might also describe how that scene looks from the air. Then from there you would describe the entire site from the ground level.Describing the natural background of your topic makes it exciting to read and enjoyable to write. A campus landscape will never be boring. Describing the buildings surrounding the garden also helps to develop the idea of the garden in the reader's mind. No matter what your topic is, if you make it interesting enough to interest the reader then your essay will be successful. After this you need to make your third paragraph as long as possible, preferably in the first paragraph. The length of the third paragraph will determine the length of the essay. Make sure you make your ideas clear and let the reader know why you want to speak out. Finally, make sure the essay is formatted well. Not only is it important to keep it readable, but it is important to read it. If it isn't read, it will be lost on the reader.
